Chef Patrick Shepler has always had a passion for food. As a native to North Idaho, he grew up watching Food Network and cooking shows, finding inspiration in what the rest of the culinary world had to offer.
Patrick began his culinary career working at banquets. While that showed him the ins and outs of catering and event production, it wasn’t quite what he was looking to experience.
After leaving the banquet business, Patrick climbed the ladder at various Coeur D’Alene establishments, both corporate and local, and worked his way from the dish pit to the cook pit. In February 2020, Patrick became chef at Farmhouse Kitchen, just six weeks before the onset of the pandemic. Navigating a new position during that time was not easy, but he managed to find his way.
Today, Patrick is head chef and General Manager for all Panhandle Restaurant Partners locations. His position allows him to use his previous experience as well as experiment with his true passions: flavors, fire, and fermentation.
